Abrasive Paper Set (230×140 mm, 2 pieces)
Fine-grit sandpaper (1500–5000) is used for finishing the back side of the blade. Apply it to a flat, smooth base—ideally by gluing the sandpaper in place.
In most cases, you only need to polish the cutting edge using leather with polishing compound. If a burr forms after sharpening, use only fine-grit paper to remove it.
Important: Starko knives come pre-polished on the back. Removing too much material from the back side may ruin the blade geometry, increase the sharpening angle, and make it more difficult to achieve a sharp edge.
