Professional heel rasp designed for precision shoemaking.

Size ~TPC

The cut grades are Fine, Medium, and Coarse:

Coarse – large teeth and wide spacing for an aggressive bite and fast material removal.

Medium – still cuts well but leaves a cleaner surface thanks to the tighter tooth pattern that prevents deep digging.

Fine – small teeth and minimal gaps. It removes little material, but gives the smoothest finish.

If you want to start with just one rasp, I recommend Medium. It’s ideal for leveling the heel after trimming with a knife — it won’t leave deep marks and also works great for shaping stacked leather heels during assembly.

Both Medium and Fine have teeth that go right up to the top edge, but that edge is ground and polished so it won’t scratch the upper.

 Care & Maintenance

From time to time, you may clean the rasp with a small brass brush, brushing parallel to the teeth (not the rows) to remove any trapped material.
The teeth are hard enough to be cleaned safely.
Just make sure your brush is made of real brass, not steel with a brass coating, and avoid using the rasp on hard materials — the sharp tooth tips may chip upon contact with metal.
