Awl handle for pegging. The handle is made from beech wood and comes with a leather ring to absorb the hammer blows. Pegging awls are needed to pre-punch the holes for wooden pegs. This is the traditional way to fix the outsole in the heel area and to fix separate heel layers. For some shoe constructions wooden pegs are also used in waist or to fix the whole outsole.
Set includes 1 x pegging awl handle and 3 various pegging awls 25/27/32/35mm..
The awls are fastened with three screws.
